Tina Preston

Council Representative – Village of Duchess

Board Member since 2015 | Board Chair since 2022

Tina represents the Village of Duchess on the Grasslands Regional FCSS Board of Directors and brings years of experience in community service and municipal leadership. She has lived in Duchess since 2000 and has been actively involved in numerous boards and committees, including Newell 911, Parks & Recreation, Shortgrass Library System, and the Newell Housing Foundation.

Tina is passionate about ensuring that all residents—particularly those who might otherwise fall through the cracks—have access to meaningful, preventative programs. She values FCSS for its collaborative model and for its impact across all age groups and walks of life. Tina has volunteered with many community groups, including Duchess Ag Society, Minor Hockey, Figure Skating Club, Curling Rink, and the Arena Board. She is passionate about ensuring FCSS programming reaches all residents, especially those who may otherwise fall through the cracks, and values the collaborative nature of the FCSS partnership.

Yoko Fujimoto

Council Representative – Village of Rosemary

Board Member since 2008

Yoko brings with her decades of wisdom, warmth, and an unwavering commitment to helping others. She’s also a longtime Village of Rosemary Councillor, first elected in 1980—and in all that time, she’s only missed two terms! Talk about dedication.

Born in Lethbridge and raised in Rosemary since she was just a year old, Yoko has deep roots in the community. She studied at the University of Lethbridge and has since spent her life making a difference in the place she calls home.

Yoko is a proud mom of two children and a very proud grandmother of two grandsons. Outside of her public service, she enjoys playing bingo and is known for always greeting others with a smile.

Yoko loves FCSS because FCSS involves helping people of all ages from any walk of life.

Danealle Reinke

Member at Large - Village of Rosemary

Board Member since 2022

Danealle brings her kind heart, community spirit, and a deep passion for supporting seniors to every discussion. She believes strongly in the value of creating inclusive, caring spaces—especially for older adults in our rural communities.

Originally from Taber, Danealle has called Rosemary home for the past 18 years, where she’s built strong roots and lasting connections. She is also the proud owner-operator of Rose Esthetics Spa, a local gem that gives her the chance to meet and connect with amazing people every day.

Danealle believe in FCSS because it touches so many parts of our community that are truly needed.

When she’s not working or volunteering, Danealle enjoys spending quality time with her husband, son, and their two French Bulldogs—making the most of the simple joys in life.

Amanda Philpott

Member at Large - County of Newell

Board Member since 2023

Amanda proudly represents the County of Newell, coming from Division 8. Amanda brings a deep commitment to community well-being, with a focus on supporting seniors and youth. Her advocacy for aging residents and their families is rooted in her belief that everyone deserves dignity, connection, and support—especially in life's later stages.

A proud Brooks resident for over 30 years, Amanda and her husband Allan—a local beekeeper—raised four boys and are now enjoying the next generation with four grandchildren.
With decades of experience volunteering and working in both the public and private sectors, Amanda is known for her warmth, empathy, and commitment to making a real difference. In addition to her role on the FCSS Board, she serves as a County of Newell Councillor, where she actively supports and promotes initiatives to make the Brooks-Newell region an even better place to live, grow, and call home.

In her downtime, Amanda enjoys quilting, traveling, walking her lab, and diving into a good book—especially when it's followed by time with family.

Holly Johnson

Council Representative – county of Newell

Board Member since 2023 | Vice Chair since 2024

Holly represents Division 4 on the County of Newell Council. Born and raised in Eastern Manitoba, Holly’s path has taken her across Canada and beyond. After completing her university education, she worked in Child Protective Services in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and earned her MBA from Lake Superior State University. A mission placement in Peten, Guatemala led her to Alberta, where she continued her career with Children’s Services in Brooks.

Now a passionate advocate for rural life, Holly and her husband farm and ranch near Scandia, where they raised and homeschooled their children for 11 years. Holly serves on several committees, including the Crop Diversification Centre and Palliser Economic Partnership.

Holly loves FCSS because providing funding to organizations that support rural residents—especially programs that strengthen families— aligns with her heart for rural communities.

Marissa Wardrop

Council Representative – City of Brooks

Board Member since 2021

Marissa is a dedicated public servant and educator serving as a city councillor in Brooks, she is the youngest member and the only woman on the current council.

Born and raised in Brooks, Marissa pursued higher education in Calgary and Lethbridge before returning to her hometown 9 years ago. She is a high school teacher and a mother of two.

In her role as councillor, Marissa is actively involved in various boards and committees, including Parks and Recreation and the Newell Housing Foundation. Marissa is passionate about representing young people and women in government, aiming to inspire others to see themselves in leadership roles.

Marissa's dedication to her community is evident in her efforts to enhance the quality of life in Brooks through her work on council and her engagement with local organizations.

Vienna Dahl

Member at Large - Village of Duchess

Board Member since 2021

Vienna was born in Fort St. John, BC, raised in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, and has called Duchess home since 2001. A lifelong learner and passionate educator, Vienna holds a Bachelor of Education, and is currently pursuing her Master of Education in Educational Studies.

With nearly a decade of teaching experience across K–9 classrooms, Vienna currently works with Grasslands Public Schools and has taught at Griffin Park, Uplands, and Alcoma. She's also a committed coach, mentor, and volunteer.

Vienna loves being a part of FCSS because “I see firsthand the amazing work being done across our County. So many of our partners are unsung heroes, providing invaluable support to the people who need it most. It’s inspiring to see the impact.”

She loves staying active, spending time with her family and helping people realize their full potential.

Angela DeBlasio

Member ar Large - City of Brooks

Board Member since 2024

Angela is a dedicated community advocate who has played an active role in guiding the development of social programs that strengthen families, foster wellness, and promote community connection across the region.

With deep roots in the Brooks-Newell area, Angela is known for her compassion, leadership, and collaborative spirit. She brings a strong sense of purpose to her community work, whether through volunteer efforts, civic engagement, or organizational involvement. Her ability to foster inclusive dialogue and build meaningful relationships has made her a valued contributor to numerous local initiatives.

Angela is passionate about creating positive change and supporting others through both grassroots action and strategic vision. Her integrity, warmth, and tireless commitment continue to leave a lasting impact on those around her.
